About Visions of the Heart
Visions of the Heart Ministries, as Visions of the Heart Spiritual Life Center, held its first service on Sunday, March 20, 2010. In the early days, we met on the third Sunday of the month. We began at the Mount Rainier Nature Center and moved to the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church and began having service every Sunday. We currently hold our Sunday Sacred Circles on Sunday Mornings, 10:00 am EST via Zoom Video/Audio Conference. For 2023, we are moving forward to a hybrid in-person and virtual Sunday services.
Founded on Four Pillars
Love is the purest vibration of the universal energy, the essence of all this is.
Wisdom is engaged knowledge that guides the traveler on their spiritual journey.
Truth is knowing that we are of Spirit, we are part of the universe, and our purpose is a unique expression of divine light.
“Community,” as written by Sobunfu E. Some’, “is the spirit, the guiding light of the tribe, whereby people come together to fulfill a specific purpose, to help others fulfill their purpose, and to take care of one another.”
Mission
Through teaching and learning, service and worship, fellowship, and community, we support the awakening to truth, love, and the sacred, within the hearts of humanity, one heart at a time.
Vision
We are a diverse group of people who come together in community to awaken, to open our hearts and embrace God-Consciousness – Universal-Consciousness, and to realize our Oneness with the Creator and Creation.
Visions of the Heart Ministries is a demonstration of a spiritual community by sharing love, illuminating wisdom, and embracing truth.
Rev. Dr. Anthony Farmer
Visions of the Heart Ministries was founded by and co-created with Spirit by Rev. Dr. Anthony Farmer. He received the inspiration “to be a church” in 2008.
Rev Anthony (RevBear) is a wisdom keeper, intuitive, teacher and guide, mystic, shaman healer. He is an Ordained Interfaith Minister (The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, 2008), and received his Doctor of Ministry (The New Seminary of Maryland, 2016).
He is a Certified Spiritual Life Coach (Innervisions Institute for Spiritual Development, 2003), and Certified Grief to Gratitude Coach (Aniya Center, 2019). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Old Dominion University, 1984) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Christian Brothers University, 1996.
